Community Design Summer Studio
A week long, on-site adventure of learning what it takes to create an intentional community. Participants should be prepared for immersion into five days of intensive study of history and concepts. They will create a community and neighborhood of their choosing on a real or fictitious piece of land. The course provides a broad overview of planning, zoning, ecological, social and construction issues of community design, based on sixteen years of history and growth of an intentional neighborhood in Charlotte, Vermont.

Solar Strategies
This course provides an introduction to passive solar design principals, and includes design and sizing of solar hot water heating systems and photovoltaic electrical systems. Site evaluation, materials selection, and thermal mass sizing are also part of this study.
